Description

I worked on 6 workbooks with insights in some of the styles I am working on lately and tips on how to develop them further on your own.
The workbooks are made to be used with traditional tools, but also contain brushes for Procreate, Photoshop, Sketchbook and Affinity Designer!
I made worksheets that go along with these different workbooks as well.

When you are using these workbooks with traditional tools I would recommend following tools:

Big Brush Style – This style is inspired by bigger watercolor brush pens. You can get similar effects using a bigger nylon brush pen, like the pentel art brush, as well.

Chisel Style – For this style I would recommend working with a 3.5 to 5 mm chisel tip pen. Like for example the Parallel Pens or the Edding Calligraphy Marker.

Felt Tip Style – For this style I would recommend using a Felt Tip Brush Pen, like the Ecoline Brush Pens or the Molotow Aqua Marker.

Brush Tip Style – For this style I would recommend using the Pentel Art Brush again, but you should be able to get a similar effect with different brush pens.

Liquid Style – This style goes more into hand-lettering, so you don’t really need any specific tools and can work with pencil or a fineliner.

Round Tip Style – The letters of the worksheets have a thickness of 5mm. For this style I would recommend working with a similar thick round tip marker, like a grog squeezer for example. However you can also use any bigger Felt Tip marker.
